This is the open, submittable job supply Nox covers, across about 6,100 hiring companies on Greenhouse and Recruitee. It is a point-in-time snapshot, not a live counter. How the figures are counted is below.

Methodology
What counts as submittable. A job counts if it is an open role on a company career page hosted by Greenhouse or Recruitee, the two platforms Nox submits to. Roles our scraper has marked expired are excluded. Listings on other platforms are not counted here, because Nox does not submit to them.
Deduplication. Each unique listing is counted once. Companies are counted by normalised company name, so an employer with many open roles counts as one company, not many.
Snapshot and refresh. The headline figures are rounded down from the live snapshot taken on the snapshot date, so they never overstate the real count. The snapshot refreshes on the scraper's regular scrape cadence. When the underlying numbers change materially, this page and the change history below are updated.
How long listings stay open (the “ghost job” problem)
Across the 260,000+ currently-open job listings Nox tracks (as of August 8, 2026), the average listing has been open for about two months, and roughly 3 in 10 have been open for 90 or more days. That is a measure of the “ghost job” problem, where postings linger long after a normal hiring cycle would have closed them.
Read these as of the date. “Open” means the listing is still live the last time Nox saw it, and the age is measured from when Nox first observed the listing, not from the employer's own posting date, which we cannot see. The corpus also moves in steps rather than smoothly: a single bulk expiry on July 22, 2026 removed about 152,000 stale listings at once, partly offset by new listings scraped since, which both shrank the tracked corpus and aged the listings that survived. Figures older than a few weeks should be treated as superseded rather than trended.
The 260,000+ figure covers every currently-open listing Nox tracks across all sources, a broader set than the about 188,000 submittable roles above, which are limited to the Greenhouse and Recruitee career pages Nox applies through.

Listing-age figures corrected. A bulk expiry on July 22 (including one large aggregator source) removed about 152,000 stale listings in a single day, and after new listings scraped since, the tracked open corpus is down by roughly a third — which mechanically aged the listings that survived. The tracked open corpus is now 260,000+, the average time open so far is about two months, and roughly 3 in 10 open listings are 90 or more days old. The previous figures on this page (400,000+ tracked, about 53 days, roughly 1 in 7 at 90+ days) described the pre-expiry corpus and no longer hold. Submittable coverage on Greenhouse and Recruitee is unchanged at about 214,000 roles across about 7,800 companies.
