Terms of Service

By accessing or using Nox ("the Service"), operated by Nox ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Nox is an AI-powered job application agent. The Service discovers job listings, scores them against your preferences, generates tailored application materials (CVs, cover letters, and form answers) in your voice, and submits applications to employers through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) platforms — via API calls or automated browser sessions — on your behalf.

Submission is automatic. Once you activate the Service, Nox submits matching applications for you without asking for approval of each individual application. You direct the Service through your preferences, your daily submission limit, and your ability to deactivate your account at any time.

By creating a Nox account and activating the Service, you authorize Nox to prepare and submit job applications to employers in your name and on your behalf, using the profile, CV, and supporting information you provide. This authorization is what allows the Service to function — it is part of your agreement with us, not an optional add-on.

Every submission remains subject to the Service's per-application safety checks, your configured preferences, and your daily submission limit. Nox does not submit an application when a required question cannot be answered truthfully from the information you have given; that application pauses for you instead.

You may withdraw this authorization at any time by deactivating your account in your dashboard settings. Deactivation stops queued and automatic submissions immediately and is reversible — it is not the same as deleting your account. If you no longer want Nox applying on your behalf, deactivation is how you stop the Service.

Nox answers employer questions using the information in your profile. Where an application asks something your profile does not cover, these standing defaults apply unless you change them in your settings:

• Optional demographic and equal-opportunity questions: Nox selects "Prefer not to answer", or the closest equivalent the form offers. Nox never infers, guesses, or discloses a demographic characteristic about you.
• Other optional questions Nox cannot answer from your profile: Nox leaves them blank rather than guessing.
• Required questions Nox cannot answer truthfully from your profile: the application pauses so you can supply the answer. Nox does not invent an answer in order to complete a submission.

Nox does not verify the truth of the information you provide. You remain responsible for its accuracy.

To use Nox, you must create an account with a valid email address. Registration requires a valid email address for verification. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Provide false or misleading information in your profile or applications
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit restrictions, or security measures
• Use the Service to spam employers or submit applications to jobs you have no intention of pursuing
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account

Nox operates on a credit-based system. One credit generates one full application (tailored CV, cover letter, and form answers). Credits are allocated based on your subscription plan:

• 7-Day Trial: 20 credits with full product access. No credit card required. The 7-day period begins when you launch Nox at the end of onboarding, not at account creation.
• Pro ($35/month or $10/week): 150 credits per month (35 per week)
• Premium ($69/month or $19/week): 300 credits per month (70 per week)

After the trial period ends, your account enters a locked state. You may still log in and view your dashboard, but inbox access is restricted to category-level previews. Full access resumes when you subscribe to a paid plan.

Monthly credits do not roll over. Additional credit bundles may be purchased separately. Payments are processed through Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period.

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Nox, including your CV, writing samples, and profile information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (generating applications, extracting your writing voice, scoring jobs).

You are responsible for ensuring that your uploaded content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

Nox uses artificial intelligence to generate application materials. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Because the Service submits applications automatically on your behalf under the authorization in section 3, materials may reach employers without your having reviewed them first. Everything Nox generates and submits is visible in your dashboard, and keeping your profile accurate is what keeps generated materials accurate. If you do not want applications submitted without your prior review, deactivate your account — the Service does not offer a per-application approval step.

We do not guarantee that applications submitted through Nox will result in interviews, offers, or employment.

Nox integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality:

• ATS Platforms — the applicant tracking systems that host employer application forms. Nox submits only through integrations currently verified and enabled for normal use. See our Coverage page for the current submission platforms.
• Stripe for payment processing
• OpenRouter for AI API routing
• AI Providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) for content generation, accessed via OpenRouter
• AgentMail for application email addresses and employer communication forwarding
• Supabase for data storage and authentication

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

Your data is stored securely with row-level security. We do not sell your personal data. You may delete your data at any time from your account settings. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nox and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be free from inaccuracies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or deleting your account from your settings.
